Este mundo es erial, soledad,
Es muy triste desear o escoger
En tal campo cualquier heredad,
Y en su suerte una parte tener.
2.
Ha pasado adelante el Señor,
Una senda derecha marcó
Que pisamos tras Él sin temor,
Pues del mundo el poder ya venció.
3.
De Jesús en la senda de amor,
Un tesoro nuestra alma encontró,
Bien eterno que por su valor
Extranjeros aquí nos volvió.
4.
Es vereda de luz celestial,
Los destellos del bendito hogar,
Que conduce hasta el bien eternal,
Junto al Padre y al Hijo a gozar.
5.
Hasta entonces de Dios la porción
En tu senda, Señor, nos serás;
De tu brazo y de tu corazón
El poder y el amor nos darás.

This world is an isolated wasteland,
It is very sad to desire or to choose
Any estate on such a field,

On which we walk after Him without fear,
