13. Gloriosa herencia

Gloriosa herencia ¡oh Padre! has de gozar,
La que en tus santos pronto has de heredar,
Para alabanzas de tu gloria son,
Tu redimida santa posesión.
2.
En servidumbre y lejos de tu luz,
Hallaron-se tus hijos, mas Jesús
Muerte sufrió por nos, resucitó,
Y en uno a todos por su cruz juntó.
3.
Con gran potencia en Cristo obraste Tú,
Y a la Iglesia, que es su plenitud,
Lo diste por Jefe, y su poder
Sojuzga todo para tu placer.
4.
Es Sacerdote ante tu majestad,
Su presencia es vida y santidad;
Es óleo puro y huellas de sus pies
La gracia, el gozo y paz, todo a la vez.
5.
Por Él tu santa voluntad será
Bien prosperada, a Ti todo traerá
En sumisión, en paz y santidad,
Dios todo en todos, por la eternidad.

Gloria suprema, eterna bendición
Es la esperanza de tu vocación;
¡Oh Dios de gloria, excelso en loor,
Descansarás en tu divino amor!

Which in Your saints You will soon inherit.
They are the praise and glory of Your grace
Redeemed possession soon before Your face.

Far from Your light, of darkness we were slaves,
Those now Your sons, by Jesus we were saved.
He suffered death for us and rose again;
Made many one by His own cross of pain.
3.
By Jesus Christ, You worked with such great power
And made the church His fullness to this hour.
To Him Thou gav’st us, He Who by His might.
Subdues all things to Thee for Thy delight.

He is High Priest before Your majesty,
His face gives holiness and life eternally.
Like fragrant oil, the footsteps of His feet
Fill us with blessing, grace, and joy and peace.

By Him Your holy will shall all be done,
And He shall bring all things to You as one;
Submitted, holy and in peace they’ll be;
God shall be all in all eternally.
6.
Glory supreme, blessing, eternal good
Is the sure hope of Your calling, O God.
You God of glory, praised, lifted above,
Shalt fully rest in Your eternal love!
