134. Cual la mar en calma

1.
Cual la mar en calma es la paz de Dios,
Fuerte y gloriosa, es eterna paz;
Grande y perfecta, premio de la cruz,
Fruto del Calvario, obra de Jesús.
2.
En aquel refugio del gran Dios de paz,
Siempre prueba el alma su gracia eficaz;
Nunca negra duda, ni pena y pesar,
Ni más vejaciones pueden acosar.
3.
¡Oh Señor amado! Tú nos das quietud,
De Ti recibimos celestial salud;
A tus pies echamos fardo y menester,
Pues nos impedían el camino hacer.
4.
Al abrir la senda, paz nos das Señor,
Pruebas y alegría da también tu amor;
Marca cada hora el sol de tu faz,
A tu sombra el alma hallará solaz.
5.
¡Océano de gloria, paz del Redentor!
Prenda de victoria, don del Vencedor;
Tu gracia infinita, ondas y raudal,
Inunda el alma tu paz celestial.
1.
Like the calmest sea is the peace of God
Strong and glorious, an eternal peace.
It is great and perfect, the reward of the cross,
The fruit of Calvary, the work of Jesus.
2.
In that refuge of the great God of peace
The soul always proves His powerful grace.
Never can black doubts, nor shame, nor sorrow,
Nor can any vexation follow us there.
3.
Oh beloved Lord! You give us rest,
We receive heavenly blessing.
We cast our burdens and needs at Thy feet,
For they kept us from walking in Thy path.
4.
As we enter Thy path, You give us peace, Lord;
Tokens of Thy love and happiness You also give us;
The sunshine of Thy face marks every hour,
In Thy shadow the soul finds refreshment.
5.
Ocean of glory, peace of the Redeemer!
The pledge of victory, gift of the Conqueror.
The waves and torrents of Thy infinite grace
And Thy heavenly peace flood the soul.
