148. Tu divina ternura

1.
Tu divina ternura
¡Oh Jesús, buen Pastor!
Consuela mi amargura,
Disipa mi temor;
Y si estoy fatigado,
Peregrinando aquí,
Tus brazos, enlazado
Me tienen junto a Ti.
2.
Tus manos traspasadas
Sangrientas en la cruz,
Fueron allí clavadas
Por mí, Señor Jesús;
Con sus señales ciertas
De tu intenso sufrir,
Permanecen abiertas,
Prontas a bendecir.
3.
Modelo inimitable,
Fiel y tierno Pastor
Y fuente inagotable
De vida, paz y amor;
Oh haz manso Cordero
Que siga en pos de Ti,
Así vivir anhelo,
Pues moriste por mí.
1.
Thy divine tenderness oh Jesus, Good Shepherd!
Comforts my bitterness, dispels my fear;
And if I am fatigued as a pilgrim here,
Thy arms around me keep me close to Thee.
2.
Thy pierced hands were bleeding on the cross,
They were nailed there for me, Lord Jesus;
With the certain signs of Thy intense sufferings,
Thine arms remain open, ready to bless.
3.
Model inimitable, faithful and tender Shepherd;
And endless Source of life, peace and love;
Oh meek Lamb, that I might follow Thee;
I long to live like that, for Thou hast died for me.
