167. ¡Más que vencer!

¡Más que vencer! tal es nuestra divisa,
Del Evangelio tal es el pendón;
Para la fe no hay batalla indecisa,
Para el cristiano hay cabal salvación.
2.
Nuestro Señor ya salió victorioso,
En el Calvario su triunfo se ve;
Todos sigamos al Jefe glorioso,
Nuestra mirada en Jesús fija esté.
3.
Con Él sufriendo, con Él reinaremos,
No nos arredra del mundo el furor,
Buen testimonio de Cristo daremos,
Nuestra esperanza es el fiel Salvador.
4.
Hermanos, creed que un poder invisible
Nos comunica el Señor por su cruz,
Tomémosla cual un arma invencible
Para triunfar en nombre de Jesús.

More than conquerors! That is our motto.
And as for the gospel, that is our banner.
For faith there is no indecisive battle,
For the Christian there is complete salvation.
2.
Our Lord already has conquered,
His triumph at Calvary is still seen today.
Let us all follow our glorious Captain,
“Looking off unto Jesus” we walk in His way.
3.
If with Him we’re suffering, with Him we’ll be reigning.
All this world’s raging will not drive us back.
A good witness for Christ in our lives will we give,
Our one hope being the faithful Savior.
4.
Brethren, believe that an invisible power
The Lord sends to us by way of the cross.
Let us take it up, an invincible weapon,
To triumph in the name of Jesus.
