238. Tenebroso mar undoso

1.
Tenebroso mar undoso, vas surcando, pecador;
(bis)
2.
Anhelado puerto amado, fuente viva de salud;
(bis)
3.
Solo ansío, Jesús mío, revestirme de tu amor;
(bis)
1.
Sinner, you are sailing in a dark and wavy sea;
And with the omen of a shipwreck your fear is increasing.
Do you see, not far away, the reflections of a friend, a white light?
This nice, faithful beam is the lighthouse of the cross. (bis)
2.
Beloved port having longed for, living fountain of salvation;
In you the soul is enjoying sweet calm, free from concern.
What is the world? Dirty center, I want to retreat from it,
To enjoy the calm free asylum of the righteous. (bis)
3.
My Jesus, I only hunger for being dressed with your love;
To Praise you and be obedient to you, like a humble servant.
Solid rock, which neither death nor centuries will destroy,
The laurels of the faithful ones, in your pinnacle, will shine. (bis)
