87. El Verbo eres Tú

El Verbo eres Tú, Jesús, de vida y de verdad,
En Ti también tenemos luz, gracia y felicidad:
Digno eres ¡oh Dios Salvador! de nuestra adoración
Y digno de una vida fiel, de celo y devoción.
2.
Manifestado fue en Ti el Padre; y la Deidad
En plenitud se halló aquí con gracia celestial:
Jesús, del cielo sobre nos derramas tu bondad
Con ricos dones y con voz de amor y gran piedad.
3.
Igual a cuando aquí, Jesús, aún eres en amor;
Tu Palabra, tu corazón, no cambiarán Señor;
¡Oh Cristo amado!, hacia Ti nuestra alma mirará;
Tu Iglesia en paz, reunida aquí, tu gracia gozará.

You are the Word, Jesus, of life and of truth,
We also find light in You, grace and happiness:
You are worthy, oh Savior God, of our adoration
And worthy of a faithful life, zeal and devotion.
2.
The Father and the deity has been manifested in You,
He was here in fullness with celestial grace:
Jesus, out of heaven, pour Your goodness towards us
With rich blessings and with a voice of love and great piety.
3.
Equal to when You where here, Lord, You still are, in love;
Your Word, Your heart, will not change Lord;
Oh beloved Christ! Our soul will look towards You;
Your church in peace, gathered here, will enjoy Your grace.
