104. La noche ya pasa

1.
La noche ya pasa, las sombras se van,
La Estrella del alba no puede tardar;
El día aguardamos con férvido afán,
Por ver su llegada hemos de velar.
2.
Aún duerme este mundo, no siente ni ve,
En sombras de noche dispuesto a quedar;
Más arriba alcemos la antorcha de fe,
El hijo del día firme ha de confiar.
3.
¡Qué suerte dichosa por tal porvenir!
En luz refulgente a Jesús mirar;
Pleno amor gozando, su gloria adquirir,
Y en todos los suyos a Él admirar.
4.
¡Momento inefable, Jesús para Ti,
Tu esposa querida al cielo llevar!
De tu cruz la prenda, consumada así;
Pues tu fiel palabra pronto has de efectuar.
1.
The night is already passing, the shadows go away
The morning star cannot tarry
We are waiting for the day with ardent eagerness
To see his coming we have to watch.
2.
The world is still sleeping, it does not feel nor see
In the shadows of the night ready to remain
Let us raise the torch of faith higher up,
The son of the day firmly has to trust.
3.
What blessed fate with such a future!
To look at Jesus in the shining light.
To enjoy His full love, to acquire His glory;
And to admire Him in all His own.
4.
What ineffable moment, Jesus for You;
To take your beloved bride to heaven!
The reward of Your cross has been carried out in this way;
So You will faithfully fulfill Your word.
