203. A Dios sea la gloria

A Dios sea la gloria, al mundo Él dio
Al Hijo bendito que por nos murió;
Expió los pecados de quien en Él cree,
Abrió-nos la senda hacia Dios por la fe.
Estribillo:
¡Gloria a Dios, gloria a Dios! Que de tal modo amó
Al que lejos de Él en pecado se halló;
Venid por el Hijo al gran Dios Salvador
Y dadle la gloria por tan grande amor.

La sangre de Cristo la obra efectuó,
La vida, justicia y perdón alcanzó;
Si en Cristo confía el más vil pecador,
De eterna salud Dios le otorga el favor.

Inmensa la obra de Cristo en la cruz,
Enorme la culpa se ve por su luz;
Al mundo Él vino, su mal Él cargó,
Por nuestros pecados el Justo murió.

The blood of Christ accomplished that work,
