¡Jesús, centro divino
De comunión y amor
Verdad, vida y camino,
De gloria resplandor!
Tu venida esperamos,
Peregrinando aquí:
Y en tanto proclamamos
La salvación en Ti.

La vida Tú pusiste
–De Dios dispuesto así–,
Y por nos Tú bebiste
Amarga hiel aquí.
De Dios desamparado
Tú fuiste, en tu dolor,
Cuando, en la cruz clavado,
Nos libraste, Señor.
3.
Sobre ella consumaste
Por nos la salvación,
Y a la tumba bajaste,
No viendo corrupción.
De allí resucitado
Con poder y virtud,
En Ti hemos hallado
Una eterna salud.
4.
Y en los cielos subido,
Cerca del Padre estás,
Sin velo, desplegando
Su gloria en tu faz.
Allí, Jesús, te vemos
Sentado con honor,
Sabiendo que estaremos
Pronto a tu alrededor.

der Gemeinschaft und der Liebe,
Wahrheit, Leben und Weg,
Glanz der Herrlichkeit!
Wir erwarten Dein Kommen,
indem wir hier pilgern.
Und bis dahin verkünden wir
das Heil in Dir.

Du gabst Dein Leben hin
- weil Gott es so wollte -
und trankst für uns
den bitteren Kelch.
Du wardst von Gott verlassen
in Deinem Schmerz
als Du ans Kreuz geschlagen wurdest
und uns befreitest, Herr.
3.
Auf dem Kreuz vollbrachtest Du
für uns das Werk der Errettung,
und Du stiegst ins Grab hinhab,
ohne die Verwesung zu sehen.
Wieder auferstanden
in Macht und Kraft,
haben wir in Dir
ein ewiges Heil gefunden.
4.
Hinaufgefahren zum Himmel
bist Du jetzt bei dem Vater,
ohne Vorhang, indem Seine
Herrlichkeit von Deinem Angesicht widerstrahlt.
Dort, Jesus, sehen wir Dich
geehrt sitzen,
indem wir wissen,
dass wir Dich bald umgeben werden.

Jesus, divine centre
Of fellowship and love,
Truth, life and way,
Radiance of glory!
We are waiting for Thy coming,
Peregrinating here;
Meanwhile, we proclaim
Salvation in Thee.
2.
Thou didst give Thy life
–Thus decreeded by God–,
And Thou didst drink for us
The bitter gall here.
By God forsaken
Thou wast, in Thy sorrow,
When, nailed to the cross,
Thou didst make us free, Lord.
3.
On it, Thou didst consummate
Salvation for us,
And Thou didst descend into the tomb,
Not seeing corruption.
Resuscited from there
With power and virtue,
We have found in Thee,
An everlasting salvation.
4.
And above in heaven,
Thou art near the Father,
Without veil, displaying
His glory in Thy face.
There, Jesus, we behold Thee,
Sitting with honour,
Knowing that soon we shall
All be by Thy side.

Le chemin, la vérité et la vie,
Le resplendissement de la gloire.
Tout en marchant ici-bas,
Nous attendons ton retour :
Et nous proclamons
Le salut en ton Nom.

Tu donnas ta vie
– Selon le conseil divin –,
Et pour nous tu vidas
La coupe jusqu'à la lie.
Tu fus dans ta douleur,
Abandonné de Dieu,
Quand, cloué sur la croix,
Tu nous délivrais, Seigneur.

Sur la croix, tu consommas
Pour nous le salut.
Tu descendis au tombeau
Sans voir la corruption ;
Puis ressuscité
Avec puissance et vertu,
En toi nous avons
Un salut éternel.
4.
Élevé dans le ciel,
À la droite du Père,
Sa gloire se déploie,
Sans voile, sur ta face.
Là, ô Jésus, nous te voyons
Couronné d'honneur,
Sachant que bientôt
Nous serons avec toi.
