En el cielo, Señor, Tú nos has preparado
Un lugar, junto a Ti, de dicha, luz y honor:
Queremos celebrar lo que nos has mandado,
El santo memorial de tu inefable amor.

Acudimos, Señor, a tu santa presencia
Para unidos gozar tu dulce comunión;
Peregrinando aquí, sentimos tu ausencia,
Ansiando el día aquel de la gran reunión.

¡Qué momento, Señor, para tu Asamblea,
Cuando al celeste hogar Tú la introducirás,
Y en la fiesta nupcial de cerca ella te vea!…
De tu gloria y tu paz sin fin la colmarás.

Mientras llegue, Señor, el momento de verte,
Gustamos del festín que prepara tu amor;
Anunciando en él tu pasión y tu muerte,
Hasta que volverás cubierto de esplendor.

um zusammen Deine Gemeinschaft zu genießen;
pilgernd empfinden wir Deine Abwesenheit
und sehnen den Tag der Vereinigung herbei.

Welch ein Augenblick, Herr, für Deine Versammlung,
wenn Du sie ins himmlische Heim einführen wirst,
wenn sie Dich am Hochzeitsfeste ganz aus der Nähe sehen wird!...
Dann wirst Du sie mit Deiner Herrlichkeit und endlosem Frieden erfüllen.

Bis zu dem Augenblick, in dem wir Dich sehen,
genießen wir das Mahl, das Deine Liebe bereitet;
darin verkünden wir Deine Leiden und Deinen Tod,
bis Du in herrlicher Pracht wiederkommen wirst.

We want to celebrate what Thou hast commanded us,
The holy memorial of Thy ineffable love.

We come, Lord, to Thy holy presence
To enjoy, united, Thy sweet fellowship;
Peregrinating here, we feel Thy absence,
Longing for that day of the great meeting.

What a moment, Lord, for Thy Assembly,
When Thou shalt introduce her in the heavenly home,
And the nuptial party she shall behold Thee near!…
Thou shalt bestow Thy glory and Thy endless peace upon her.

While the time to see Thee comes, Lord,
We enjoy the banquet that Thy love prepares;
Announcing in it Thy passion and Thy death,
Till Thou shalt come back covered with splendour.
