Te loamos Señor Jesús

Loamos-te Señor Jesús,
Quien estás ensalzado;
El Creador que por amor,
Cual siervo se ha humillado;
En Ti podemos contemplar
La imagen de Dios Padre,
Verdad y amor, puro esplendor
Que en vil mundo ha brillado.

De aquella eterna comunión
Do con el Padre estabas,
Hasta la cruz fuiste ¡oh Jesús!,
Por el hombre perdido;
En Ti el pecado Dios cargó,
La maldición llevaste,
Fue solo así, muriendo allí,
Que nuestra paz compraste.
3.
¡Alzado en gloria, oh Cristo estás!
Tu amor por nos rebosa;
Tu grey aquí, unida a Ti,
Ya tu presencia goza;
Cabeza de tu Iglesia allá
Junto al Padre en la gloria;
Ven pues, Señor, y de tu amor
Consuma la victoria.

We worship Thee Lord Jesus, Thou who art high exalted;
The Creator, who for Thy love as Servant, Thyself humbled.
In Thee the image we behold of God Thy loving Father,
All truth and love, pure splendor shone through Thee in this world’s darkness.

From that eternal glory Thou hadst with God the Father,
He gave His Son that He in one His children all might gather.
Our sins were all laid on Thee, God’s wrath Thou hast endured;
It was for us Thou sufferedst thus and hast our peace secured.
3.
Thou from the dead wast raised, and from all condemnation
Thy saints are free, as ris’n in Thee, Head of the new creation.
On high Thou has ascended to God’s right hand in heaven,
The Lamb once slain, alive again, To Thee all pow’r is given.
